Member of Swadhin Bangla Football Team and freedom fighter Lutfor Rahman breathed his last at his residence in Jashore on Monday.
He was 69.
Lutfor, who played for Wari Club, had been bedridden for a long time due to paralysis.
He left behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a lot of well-wishers to mourn his death.
The namaj-e-janaja of the footballer was held at the Sammiloni High School after Asr prayer and later he was buried at the family graveyard in Talbaria.
BFF president Kazi Salahuddin along with other BFF officials, members of Swadhin Bangla Football team condolled the death of Lufor and expressed their sympathy for the bereaved family members.
